The clean flowing Dorcan Brook flowing down into Nythe Pool.
Little does it know what lies ahead!
But what greets it, is rubbish
And more..............
Just plain filthy
A Child's Car Seat
A Cable Drum
Bin and Mattress
Pipe
Traffic Cone and more rubbish
A Television
Plastic Chair
A Kiddies Bike and Can
Plastic Recycling Bag and empty beer bottles
Fallen Tree
And another one
And a third one
An eddy of muck and rubbish
How does anything survive.
This Grey Wagtail called in briefly and was soon gone.
If you are a Moorhen you can at least swim around the rubbish.
Whilst the Mallards try to keep in the clean running water.
Frogs spawn. I wonder how many will survive the pollution
Now if you can fly like this Long-tailed Tit, you can at least escape.
One last look at the pool!
Even the Magpies seem undecided on which way to go
And a Collared Dove gives the pool one last look,
as it heads off in the opposite direction.
A Wood Pigeon reminisces on what the pool use to look like many moons ago.
Away from the pool the Blackthorn tries to cheer things up
Though looking at the wood close by I think it's a lost cause.
Another part of Nythe that is neglected
A carpet of Wood Anemones covers the ground and
probably more rubbish lying underneath
A pretty plant
And finally I think this picture sums it all up.
A solitary Daffodil in the middle of the wood,
trying desperately to make an impression.
Can you spot it?
