On the Reserve

My first trip this year to the Reserve Pool at Lotmead Farm. Not too many highlights with the best actually being a Water Rail in Dorcan Stream and a Treecreeper feeding in the trees above it. On the pool itself 2 Moorhens, 21 Wigeon and a drake Gadwall. Apart from that there were two flocks of Redwing and Fieldfare, with one unfortunate Redwing being snatched by a Sparrowhawk, just as I was turning into Lotmead Farm.

Not the best of videos and I've slowed it down a bit. But as I turn in to Lotmead Farm a Sparrowhawk flies across the front of me with a Redwing in its talons.
