Wet Miserable Day

Another cold start to the day with a few millimeters of snow on the ground, which disappeared very quickly as heavy rain, pushed in from the north. Eventually it stopped mid afternoon and there was a brief flurry of birds, before the sun dropped away.

A few millimeters of snow

A pair of Pied Wagtails worked their way along the rooftops on the houses at the back and then a drake Tufted Duck flew low over the estate towards Liden. Also about a few gulls again behind the shops and a yet again the Common Gull in amongst them.

Magpie in flight

The local Magpies were in dispute with the Carrion Crows, nothing new there and one Crow was pursued relentlessly by a Lesser Black-backed Gull, when it found a piece of bread.

Hopefully better weather tomorrow and some news from further afield.
