As I passed Nythe Pool on the way back from Chiseldon this afternoon I spotted a
Little Egret on the bank. As I parked up and walked towards the pool I could see down below me a
Grey Heron, which as I arrived lent forward and grabbed an unsuspecting
Frog. After several goes and dunkings it finally dispatched it and carried on looking for its next prey. All the time the
Little Egret kept out the way, before flying off north.
Little Egret looking on
A quick stab
A turn
More turning
And gulp gone
Onto the next
